I feel very strongly that God has let me down this path. I know many do not discuss openly their weight problems, but I feel it's important I do. So I will blog as time allows this journey.
I have battled my weight my entire adult life. Too many diets to count and always hungry at tye end of the day.
About six months ago my doctor suggested-after we had tried numerous types of diets and medications to lose the weight-that I consider bariatric surgery. My weight alarm did not qualify me, however I have sleep apnea type two diabetes and early stages of congestive heart failure. Those three diagnosis make me a great candidate for bariatric surgery.
It has been a long process meeting all of the insurance and doctors' requirements, but I have now been approved and my gastric sleeve surgery is scheduled for December 14, 2016. Later I will share all of the different requirements that I had to meet, all the struggles that I was facing and things that I had to over came to get to the point of having the surgery scheduled. So far it's been quite the journey and I'm beyond ecstatic, nervous and excited about having the surgery done
